1998: CGI Lakes established as successor to the Indian gaming business of Grand Casinos (which is absorbed by Park Place Entertainment); its name is soon changed to Lakes Gaming

1998: Lakes assumed management contracts formerly held by Grand Casinos for two Louisiana Indian casinos, Grand Casino Coushatta and Grand Casino Avoyelles

2000: Grand Casino Avoyelles management contract terminated by early buyout

2002: Lakes Gaming changed name to Lakes Entertainment

2008:Lakes Entertainment funded Issue 6 on Ohio's ballot. The proposed casino would have cost $600,000,000 and be built near Wilmington, Ohio. The ballot was defeated 62-37, this is the fourth time Ohio has rejected a casino since 1990.

2008: Lakes Entertainment declared a noncash dividend consisting of all of the shares of WPTE then owned by Lakes. Lakes previously owned 12,480,000 or approximately 61% of the outstanding common stock of WPTE, a separate publicly-held media and entertainment company.

2008: Red Hawk Casino opened in Sacramento California

2009: Lakes Entertainment funded (approx. 4.3 million) a referendum to ammend the Ohio constitution to authorize gaming, it passed on November 3rd

2010: Lakes entered into a management agreement for a proposed casino in Tunica, Mississippi

2010: Lakes ends management of Cimarron casino

2011: Lakes ends management of Four Winds casino

2011: Lakes sells the rights to “Four The Money,” “Bonus Craps,” “Roulette Craps” and “Rainbow Poker.”

2012: Lakes terminates management contract with Jamul Tribe

2013: Rocky Gap Casino Resort opened in Marylanf
