Scientific Games Company Profile

Scientific Games Corporation (Scientific Games) is a provider of services, systems and products to both the lottery and pari-mutuel wagering industries. It offers lottery authorities online lottery systems, instant tickets and related facilities management, or co-operative services, programs, which enable such authorities to outsource all of their instant ticket lottery operations to the Company. The Company has four business segments: Lottery Group, Pari-mutuel Group, Venue Management Group and Telecommunications Products Group. Scientific Games offer online, instant and video lottery products, integrated systems and services, including instant tickets, licensed brand games, entertainment-based promotions, online and instant ticket validation systems and terminals, co-operative services and ticket vending systems.

Scientific Games History

1954: United Tote, a pari-mutuel equipment company, founded in Bozeman, Montana by Lloyd Shelhamer

1984: United Tote incoporated in Delaware

1989: United Tote acquires all shares of rival Autotote Systems Inc

1991: After losing an antitrust case, United Tote is ordered to divest itself of Autotote; the company sheds some of its divisions and renames itself Autotote

1992: United Tote officially renames itself Autotote

2000: Autotote acquires Scientific Games Holdings Corporation

2001: Autotote changes its name to Scientific Games Corporation

2002: Scientific Games stock begins trading on NASDAQ

2003: Scientifc Games acquires MDI Entertainment, a leading supplier of licensed games to the worldwide lottery industry

2013: Scientific Games acquires slotmaker WMS Industries
